Muhammed Aziz Khan is the Executive Chairman of Summit Group and Summit Power International Limited, Bangladesh's largest infrastructure conglomerate. Since founding Summit Group in 1973, his vision has transformed Bangladesh's infrastructure landscape, particularly in the energy sector.

A strategic business leader with deep roots in Bangladesh, Aziz Khan established the country's first independent power plant in 1998, initiating private sector participation in the nation's energy development. His partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) led to a transformative decision in 2016 when he incorporated Summit Power International in Singapore.

Under his leadership, Summit Group has grown into a comprehensive infrastructure organization that operates 18 power plants with a combined capacity of 2,500 MW. The company's presence in Singapore, strengthened by the IFC partnership, has facilitated collaborations with global industry leaders, including Japan's Jera Co., which acquired a 22% stake in Summit Power International in 2019. These strategic partnerships enable Summit to secure long-term, low-cost financing that directly benefits Bangladesh's energy consumers.

Beyond energy infrastructure, Aziz Khan has expanded Summit Group's presence into ports, logistics, and information technology sectors. The organization employs over 6,000 people while maintaining strong environmental and social governance standards. His commitment to social progress is evident through the Anjuman & Aziz Charitable Trust, which provides educational opportunities to more than 8,000 disadvantaged students across Bangladesh.

As a member of the UNICEF International Council and trustee of the Asian University for Women, Aziz Khan actively contributes to regional development initiatives. His academic foundation includes a degree from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Dhaka, which complements his extensive business experience.
